Founder & Training Director
Nadia is Mother to three amazing boys and an avid traveller and yogi. She founded JUNA Yoga in 2011 to create a safe space for women to expand their horizons and discover the power of movement both on and off the mat. She believes that natural landscapes are the best studios and she takes immense pleasure in designing adventure retreats and teacher trainings that blend outdoor sports such as surfing, paddleboarding, skiing and snowshoeing to modern day yoga methodology.
She has been teaching yoga since 2004 and her time spent on her family’s sailboat, the Junasika, has fostered a sense of love for the ocean from early on in her childhood. Inspired by the elements, the season and different geographical locations, Nadia’s classes and trainings are infused with our deep connection to ecosystems. She teaches for numerous events such as Wanderlust Festival, the Lolë White Tour, Expo Yoga and you can read about her work in a variety of Canada-based magazines. Her yoga is dynamic, creative and accessible to all levels. Her studies in Adventure Tourism and Ecology inform how she designs her offerings. She loves her work.
